Rabab Ghazoul
Rabab Ghazoul Part 1
In the first part Rabab talks about her work that relates to her Iraqi roots, looking at Western responses to Iraq, and the impact of occupation on land and people.
Rabab Ghazoul Part 2
Rabab talks about a video piece which examines peoples' reactions to an infamous interview with George Galloway on Sky News in which he responds strongly to the bias of the interviewer ("...and the discerning of your viewers already know it...").
Rabab Ghazoul Part 3
In the last part Rabab talks about Oyvind Falstrom's videowork Mao Hope
March, in which people silently parade in a street with posters of Chairman Mao and Bob Hope. She contemporises the video by using images of Kim Jong Il and Bruce Forsyth, marches them through the streets of Cardiff and then interviews people about the 'march', asking the question, among others, "are you happy?". |
