New Digital Edition of Planet

Help launch a digital future for Planet!
Planet digital edition funding drive:

see the edition here

We are happy to announce that we have just developed the first ever digital edition of Planet, launched via the Welsh Books Council's new 'Magazines of Wales' app scheme. The digital edition contains the same rich content and colour images as the print edition plus a host of innovative extra features such as video files and weblinks.

However, there are significant costs involved in publishing digitally, and in a challenging economic climate we need your support. We need £650 worth of digital subscription sales by the end of April in order to fund a further 4 issues as digital editions, which will be published alongside the print edition.

How you can help:
Just follow the link below to buy a digital subscription at only £27.99 and/or please share this link with everyone you think would be interested in reading Planet digitally. Whatever happens you will still receive all four issues of your subscription. If we don't receive sufficient digital subscriptions between now and the end of April you will receive upcoming issues of Planet in your subscription as print versions instead.

The digital editions are currently available via the app on all iOS devices including iPad, iPhone and iPod, and we aim to be able to offer Planet on other platforms in the future depending on our budget. We look forward to exploiting the exciting multimedia possibilities offered by a digital edition to the full.

Helpwch i lansio dyfodol digidol i Planet!
Ymgais ariannu rhifyn digidol Planet:

Wele'r gyfrol yma

Rydym yn hapus i gyhoeddi ein bod newydd ddatblygu'r rhifyn digidol cyntaf erioed o Planet, a gafodd ei lansio trwy gynllun app 'Cylchgronau Cymru' Cyngor Llyfrau Cymru. Mae gan y rhifyn digidol yr un cynnwys a delweddau lliw cyfoethog â'r argraffiad print yn ogystal â llu o nodweddion ychwanegol arloesol megis ffeiliau fideo a dolenni gwe.

Fodd bynnag, mae yna gostau sylweddol ynghlwm wrth gyhoeddi yn ddigidol, ac mewn hinsawdd economaidd anodd mae angen eich cefnogaeth arnom. Mae angen gwerth £650 o werthiannau tanysgrifio digidol erbyn diwedd mis Ebrill er mwyn ariannu 4 o rifynnau digidol ychwanegol a fydd yn cael eu cyhoeddi ochr yn ochr â'r rhifyn print.

Sut gallwch chi helpu:
Dilynwch y ddolen isod i brynu tanysgrifiad digidol am ddim ond £27.99 a / neu rhannwch hyn drwy gysylltu â phawb fyddai yn eich barn chi â diddordeb mewn darllen Planet yn ddigidol. Beth bynnag fydd yn digwydd byddwch yn dal i gael pob un o'r pedwar rhifyn yn eich tanysgrifiad. Os nad ydym yn derbyn digon o danysgrifiadau digidol rhwng nawr a diwedd mis Ebrill, byddwch yn derbyn yn lle hynny rifynnau print sydd ar y gweill o Planet yn eich tanysgrifiad.

Mae'r rhifynnau digidol ar hyn o bryd ar gael drwy'r app ar bob un ddyfais iOS, gan gynnwys Mac, iPad ac iPhone, ac rydym yn anelu at allu cynnig Planet ar lwyfannau eraill yn y dyfodol, a dibynnu ar ein cyllido. Rydym yn edrych ymlaen at fanteisio i'r eithaf ar y posibiliadau amlgyfrwng cyffrous a gynigir gan argraffiad digidol.

Planet Article Competition 2010

13.09.10
We are very grateful to all participants in  the Planet Article Competition 2010.  But while we received many interesting submissions on a variety of topics, we felt that  no individual essay possessed quite the depth and critical penetration we were looking for. We have therefore decided  not to award the prizes this year. We hope no one will feel put off by this and look forward to receiving your submissions next year!
