I had travelled down the A470 from Caernarfon and had just arrived at my destination in the north of Cardiff, when I was asked whether I would write a review about a volume of collected poems called A470. Full of trepidation and hesitation, I agreed to the challenge and have enjoyed the collection of poems immensely.

About the author

In her early career, harpist Elinor Bennett played with all the major British orchestras. Steeped in the music traditions of Wales, she became the driving force behind establishing Canolfan Gerdd William Mathias and was its Artistic Director until 2008. She has been Visiting Professor of Harp at the Royal Academy of Music, and the Guildhall School of Music, London. She lives in Gwynedd but travels often to the south.
